Welcome - Our 1st Blog

May 18, 2020

Well everything is jumping out for Spring and so is our new website!

My name is Tom Collins and I am the Grounds maintenance team leader for Instant Scenery.

Here is our blog to offer ideas and to share what we are doing with you. Its all moving so quickly, we thought we would jot it all down.
We try, with our work, to make the garden accessible and we think that we can show what we do through this medium. If you know us and are interested in following us here or your looking to get us round for your own garden, you can read and find out about us on this website or follow us on twitter (@instantscenery) and facebook.  If there’s anything you want to know then please ask and get in touch.

MONDAY 14.04.14
Glorious sunshine at a garden on Hylton Rd Worcester. A rather overgrown garden that needed taming. Brambles and long grass was the problem and lots of it. Also a bed with rich soil and lots of weeds. Really nice to make impact on jobs like this. A record breaking day in terms of clippings. with 7 bags to take away!

TUESDAY 15.04.14
A day in a glorious garden in rural Worcestershire countryside, Kempsey. For Dan it was mowing the large grounds as the growing season picks up a pace.

WEDNESDAY 16.04.14
6 am start ready to be on our 1st garden of the day at 7am. Early starts near Droitwich are a cold this time of year but we soon get the sun on us. We have visited this particular house for over 4 years. Its a beautiful 17th century cottage with a picture postcard english garden.

THURSDAY 17.04.14
Gardening in Kempsey for Dan and Tom. We are bringing on Cosmos, Rudbeckia and Foxgloves for numerous beds in the grounds. The seeds were sown back at the end of feb and have now been moved from the green house to the outdoor poly tunnel. Ready for planting in may.

GOOD FRIDAY 18.04.14
We see Friday as a maintenance day for families looking forward to the weekend, so its mow’s and edges all round. We finish the day with the relaxing task of shifting 4 tons of soil into place ready for planting the next week……….
